How RSS Works

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary, you might have noticed this three letter word in your tour through various web sites. Syndication also means republishing articles on any other website, from a particular source. RSS feeds usually consists of title of update starting from the website, or we can add it is the link to the website. It is a XML-based file for syndicating content or news headlines on any web page. It means publicizing quality updates about any websites, it might contain photographs related to the postings. RSS is a lightweight XML page consisting of news and their headlines and date/time.

# How RSS Works


Supposedly if any website publishes an RSS feed, channel for the purpose of reading, like other files on the server. To read this information, the system requires installation of a software called as RSS reader. After you connect this software to the RSS feeds of your favorite page, click update in your RSS reader. Now each time a news or RSS feed is published, this program enables you to know whats' new on your favorite web page.
